What a Weekend!

Residents across the Mining District came together to clean up their yards, neighborhoods, and communities—and the results were amazing!

Together, we collected 8.5 dumpsters—approximately 220 cubic yards of trash and litter! That’s roughly 20–30 tons, of waste removed from our communities courtesy of the NMDOT ¡Que Linda Grant.

Residents in the Town of Hurley collected the most community trash, followed by the City of Bayard and then the Village of Santa Clara. Thank you to everyone who took the time to clean up trash and be part of the effort!

Copper Country Dumpsters and driver Jad Carver were instrumental in making the cleanup happen—from delivering the dumpsters and checking on them throughout the weekend to hauling the waste to the landfill.

This is what community pride looks like! Every yard cleaned, bag of trash collected, and neighborhood improved makes a difference.
